I am in love.

She’s amazing.

So look:

I mean just look at her face! :P

Also, I think I would describe her name, face and barefootness as resplendant and just like a Wood Nymph. Like come on De Forest? How is she not a magical mystical woodland creature?

For those of you who don’t know she represented Denmark in the Eurovision Song Contest and won, with the song “Only Teardrops”.

That’s enough from me…. *Goes back to working for exams….. :(*

Hey,

as I’ve been at home a lot lately and revising, which means that I’ve been listening to a LOT of music.
I thought I’d both share and embarrass myself by showing you my awful but silly taste in music. Okay…..

1. Le Diner by Benabar- a recently discovered French musician. I love the song because it’s sweet and romantic in a totally modern and simplistic way : ) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3X-KbPmOx8s&ob=av3e

2. Starships by Nicki Minaj…. I know. I’m ashamed, but it’s fun to jump around too if you’ve been sitting at a desk ALL DAY! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3wzq6xzITnI

3. Safe and Sound by Taylor Swift, on the Hunger Games Soundtrack. I love Taylor and I think the song suits the melancholic feeling of the series. Also it feature The Civil Wars (I think) and the music videos cool too. I love Taylor’s dress!  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RzhAS_GnJIc

4. Somebody the I used to know by Gotye- I never know how to pronounce that name…. but yeah. Good song. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4jW59m6Nsxs

5. We are Young by Fun ft Janelle Monae. Really like this one, kinda haunting and a bit deep, but nice to listen too and quite anthemic. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sv6dMFF_yts&ob=av3e

6. Wild Ones by Flo Rida ft Sia, a good tune. I’m surprised I like it, because normally Flo Rida kinda… well… sucks. But this ones a keeper. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bpOR_HuHRNs&ob=av2e

7.*blushes* A Whole New World. From Aladdin. I know. I’ll just go….. would it be  a bad time to tell you that I like Carly Rae Jepsen’s Call Me Maybe? Yeah? oh right then. I’m off, again…… http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2cytb0-unfI&feature=fvst (This is the Aladdin song… not the “other” one.)

After that I hope that you can still bear to follow my blog, but if not, I forgive you. : )

And here’s the last song (which I’m in love with at the moment and listening to as I type.) Plus they are all gorgeous. And the video is funny….: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Fz3zFqLc3E

I hope you all have lovely weeks,

Anna- Marie xxx

Hello, this is a VERY short post as, I don’t have much time, but I really wanted to write this up so that you all know what I’m listening too. Now, I don’t know whether any of you have heard of Christina Perri, but her song “Jar of Hearts” is third on the Spotify list and that’s how I was first introduced to her. I absolutely ADORE the song; it’s quite haunting, yet empowering at the same time. Anyway, I also love her style and the idea of a heart in a jar is cool as well:
Normally, I don’t really like tattoos much, but on her I think they look really good. There’s a nice contrast between the dark words and the light dress.

She has released other music as well, although, if I’m honest I haven’t actually listened to much of it. Except “Arms” which is nice too.

Here is the video of Jar of Hearts:

I love her boots! And the dancing, although it does sometimes look slightly demented….. : )

I just found this cool drawing on google which I feel represents the song well:

It’s from here: http://ajarpana.wordpress.com/2011/05/06/

That’s all from me for now,

Anna-Marie xx

P.S. As a start of the new school year resolution, I am going to make an effort to stop apologising in posts any more, because lots of people have commented about it and apparently some find it annoying (Which I can totally understand). (I’m trying really hard not to apologise in advance here, so yeah. I WONT!) : ) x

Hey!

I just watched Quadrophenia and I loved all the sixties outfits. “We are the Mods!” Rock Onnnn! It had a great soundtrack.

I would recommend checking it out as I think it’s a great film, although a bit weird.

Oh I just came across a very easy and quick lemonade recipe. Deffinitley going to try it out some time.!

http://londonbakes.blogspot.com/2011/05/homemade-lemonade.html#more

It sounds like the perfect summer recipe. YUM!

During half-term I went shopping, had a Tea Party and went to my best friends birthday party. I also revised. WOOO! Anyway, I shall share some pictures of the tea party. It went slightly wrong as we basically totally messed up the chocolate scones that we were gonna eat, so we decided to make a chocolate cake and buy already mad cupcakes which we iced. There were also biscuits and OBVIOUSLY lots of Tea.

Our cake was a Jackson Pollock inspired piece.

Then our COMPLETELY Homemade…. : ) Cakes:

The cookies and the Biscuits…. YUMMMM

Some Close Ups:

Can you guys see the face in red icing? I think it looks devil-like…. AAARRRGGGHHH!!!

Andddd I just found a hilarious article about the dangers of biscuits. http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/2009/sep/09/biscuits-food-safety

That’s it from me right now, Have a lovely weekend. Thank God it’s Friday tomorrow.

Love Anna Marie xxx

P.S I know I don’t normally talk about musicians but, I mean it’s ADELE. I couldn’t resist. : ) x
P.P.S I started reading Angela’s Ashes by Frank McCourt (I finished Anne of Windy Willows) and it’s good. I’m only a chapter in but so far so good.
EDIT: I made the Brownies! They were SUPER Delicious!!!
 What do you think?
As you can see I didn’t only use heart cutters. I have to say my favourites were definitely the  white chocolates, they were so gooey and yummy.

Hey guys,

Short post today to keep you updated and also because I won’t have much time next week. So, recently I watched a film called The Runaways, which is a biopic about Joan Jett when she was younger (around 15). I don’t know if you’ve heard of her but, if you haven’t (which I highly doubt) She is basically Queen of Rock n’ Roll. She is most famous for her records by the band Joan Jett and The Blackhearts, with songs like I love rock n’ Roll and Bad Reputation.

More about the film: It starred Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning, (both have main parts in The Twilight Saga (Bella and Jane)) they played the boyish Joan Jett and the glamorous, but very young Cherie Currie (the lead singer of Joan’s first band The runaways). Anyways….. it’s set in the 70’s and has hilarious outfits, bell-bottoms and Lycra Jumpsuits to name a few! Although to give credit to Kristin I thought that she pulled it all off and ended up looking really good. Although it did have a few Fashion Faux pas I still liked all the costumes…… so I thought I’d share some pictures with you….. not that I’ve done this before : )

ooooh I almost fogot, My favourite song by The Runaways was Cherry Bomb have a listen! And tell me what you think.

Don’t you just LOVE converse?

In the film, a lot of it is the girls getting high and overdosing so, at least I thought that it got a bit heavy at times.

And Lastly the REAL Runaways:

(From left to right: Sandy West, Jackie Fox, Cherie Currie, Lita Ford and finally, Joan Jett)

I hope you all have a lovely weekend, oh and Happy Valentines Day for Monday, Are you planning on dressing up for it? I’m going to wear my Red Shoes

AnnaMarie

I couldn’t resist.. sorry.. : $ tehe  AM xxx
